NO ORDINARY!!!

I just started this blogging thing mid March of this year, and I've not yet given it a face...It's no particular place for anything extraordinary...just ordinary me writing about whatever comes to mind. My love is strong for little, so I'll only ever venture into certain areas ie:
God
The Bible (there's a difference to me)
My People and Our Children
Music
That'll pretty much be the contexual purpose of anything I'll ever talk about, with that in mind, I'd like to share my love for today...Commissioned the group that produced the great Fred Hammond and Marvin Sapp. I'm in love with the voice of Keith Staten as well, but he's never really done a lot of solo stuff. Anyway, I was raised by these men of God. I was introduced to them in the laundry when I was about 14 (by a 24-year-old man who wanted to have his way with me), but God used his evil for good, because I fell in love with them. He made me a copy of the tape, which had every one of their songs on it...I walked with them, sang with them, ate with them and slept with them. They're no ordinary gospel group to me; they symbolize the extraordinary.

For all those who don't know, I'd like to share a piece of them with you...this was the concert of a lifetime for me...the Commissioned Reunion!!! After all these years....they're still able to put it down like they did in the 80's nothing but God, speaking of Him....please be blessed by the hearing of this melodious message it's no ordinary.

heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...that is my fave Gospel group. That tour didn't come to Cleveland and I was salty about it.

I am the biggest Fred Hammond fan in Cleveland probably.

Marvin Sapp has the voice I can't even describe.

Keep doing the darn thing, sis.

A very good friend of mine just made me two CD's of their stuff. I must admit they are on the periphery of my gospel music experience, but I look forward to that changing soon.

Take 6 is the group that has a similar effect in my life. I have ALL their stuff.

Oh and I feel you on the subject matter. Those things are enough for a lifetime.

I'll walk with you as you walk with me and, "How can two walk together except they be agreed?" Amos 3:3

soj g: YES they are the best... they CAN'T be touched...at all, but YES take 6 is another one of my favorites, but you know who REALLY at a modern day version of them...Men Of Standard. I'll find and give you guys a taste of them one day.

Good, now, since I know you have much to say about GOD, I'll like you to re-visit my blog and help me with a situation. In short, I met a sop-called gospel poet who told me if the poetry ain't about uplifting God, its about uplifting the Devil. I didn't feel like debating, so I didn't. What's your take on it?

ok. I am going to have to ask you to send me a warning email for your post. I love love love love love. commisioned. I mean I love them. I even like the folks brought in to fill up when the originals started leaving. Like Montrell Darret and all. I love this song. But I have been in love with Fred from the begining. I think he started out playing bass for the Winans.

Now dont even get me started on Men of Standard. I love love love them. Been following them since their begining. when some of them were singing with JPK.
