WELCOME BACK TO CRAZY WORLD!!!

I read two interesting things in the paper yesterday:

First Article:
"Chris Benoit (40 year-old WWE Wrestler), strangled his wife (age 43), suffocated his 7-year-old son and placed a Bible next to their bodies before hanging himself with the pulley of a weight machine. Investigators found anabolic steroids in the house are trying to determine if he may have been 'unhinged' by the body building drugs, which can cause paranoia, depression and explosive outbursts known as "roid rage." The wife was killed on Friday, the son was killed on Saturday and Benoit probably killed himself Saturday night or Sunday morning!"

I really have no comment for this, other then...WHY does society always try to find a 'chemical' reason for a personS MADNESS... why couldn't dude have just been CRAZY! (We wrestle NOT against flesh and blood, but POWERS and PRINCIPALITIES)!

Second Article:
"In the past nine months, passengers have been kicked off airplanes or detained at airports for uncontrolled coughing, joking about hijacking, breast-feeding a baby, kissing and other amorous activities, cursing at flight attendants who denied them alcohol, failing to get a screaming child buckled in for takeoff and carring a sippy cup of water...it doesn't take much in the post-911 era to get in trouble on a plane. "

OVERKILL....we've created a state of mass hysteria....confusion and fear are the devils playgroud, but like I love to say; WELCOME TO CRAZY WORLD!!

In spite of ALL that foolishness...there's a praise party going on!!! Enjoy the message in the music.

That whole incident involving the wrestler is just sad. He could have been crazy and he could have been enraged by the drugs...but it just seems too methodical to be a drug rage to me. He killed the woman one day, the son the next and THEN himself. We'll never know what caused him to do it...it's just sad!

The second incident is definitely overkill. I work in NY...half of my co-workers worked in the World Trade Center during 9/11 and it has definitely changed them. People panic for things they would not have normally been afraid of prior to 9/11...it has definitely become a "CRAZY WORLD" around these parts!

I cosign with Ms. Opinionated Diva, we always try to fine excuses for our behavior as a society to justify its validity when in truth it is contributing to the pot of irrationality.

*Sign* I am almost afraid to know what the future will bring.

oh and @-Ms Opinionated Diva, I apologize to your co-workers who were in the World Trade Center around that time. God knows if I were in that position I would have went nuts.

Always loved that song, but there's just something terribly incongruous when "Bad Boy" flashes on the screen, and when Diddy is featured.

Roids or not, folks like that should just go on and do themselves and leave folk around them alone, if that's what's up. I look forward to hearing directly from Jesus one day how Romans 8:28 applied in this and similar situations (Amish killings, VA Tech, 9-11, etc.).

that chris benoit story shocked me. I used to watch wrestling for a minute in college and actually remembered him. Yikes. That is truly sad.

as for the unruly passengers. I wish we could kick people off the bus for certain types of behavior.

op.d: yes...it's so so sad and the other think that kinda gets me, is when people do stuff like that and leave or make some sort of reference to the Bible...the world is falling away from it as it is, these acts only makes things worse.

ray: the future will bring MORE of the same, if we don't start changing things.

nupe: YES... I feel the same way about Puffy and Bad Boy, but loved the song. On the later statement...YES, but that would be UNselfish...and they can't have that.

gc: YES... I've watched it too and my sons still watch it. We saw him win the Royal Rumble a couple years back, just crazy. LOL...GIRL, I say that ALL THE TIME.. I'd be like ol Otis (from Martin) kicking people off the bus ALL DAY LONG. LOL.

Hey JMW,
Wasn't that so sad about Chris Benwoit. I heard that his wife was a wrestler too. The whole thing is horrible. As for the plane thing...that's a dog-on shame. Women can't even breastfeed their babies. Umph! That seems like a bit much.

LOL @ GC "I wish we could kick people off the bus for certain types of behavior" I went on ahead and bought a car after I witnessed a couple leave their infant on the back seat of a double bus....just to go beat the driver up! It was 5:30am. Who the hell does that s***!

That story was truly crazy. I used to watch wrestling when I was younger, and I can remember everyone calling him the "Rabid Wolverine". I was also shocked to hear that their kid was disabled. I bet he couldn't take all of the stress, and I know the steroids didn't help. Instead of doing what he did, he should have gotten help. Now three lives have ceased, when it could have been one life changed. Don't let TV fool you. What looks good on the outside, isn't always good on the inside.

Girl...we all know them body building drugs ain't have nothing to do with dude killing his wife, his son or himself.

I don't even wanna say too much. I'm disgusted.

That's just SO SAD!

I almost wonder if Chris Benoit killed his wife, son, and himself to protect them all from him. Like he knew that something was about to go really awry in their lives, so he thought death may have been a better option.

The mass hysteria about the airport/airplane security is really unwarranted. The truly dangerous people could probably get through airport security easier than your average joe--I'm sure they study the rules and keep a close eye on what loopholes there are in our security screening processes.

I read those same articles and I was saddened that they tried to make light of him killin his family by saying the drugs made him do it..who knows what goes on behind closed doors and if it makes folks do that then it should be destroyed..

I wish someone would try to kick me off a plane for coughing LOL

nic: yeah, she was his stage manager... on the side everytime he came out...and YES... these planes are CRAZY. LOL at that bus tale...you've GOT to be kidding, did they ask you to watch dey baby? LOL.

anointed: WOW...I didn't know that...man, poor baby (his son). Yes, these people have just as many issues as anyone else and sometimes more.

ms.b: yes girl...it's sooo depressing.

tasha: you know what...given his son having a disorder he PROBABLY did think he was doing a Godly service.

Have you ever seen the movie "Frailty" it's REALLY good...in fact someone has borrowed it and I need to get it back, but it's about this Father who says God appeared to him in a dream and told him he has to rid the world of the evil people...he said God gave him a gift to 'see' the evil people he's to kill, so he told and taught his two sons to do the same...it's a really good movie. I had you questioning Insanity vs Divine Order...hum, what a questions...was this dude just crazy or carring out some orders from the Lord...the bible tells of stories where people were told to kill.

they always try to find a chemical/syndrome/disease to blame for WHITE people's craziness. when you're black your ass doesn't even get the benefit of being labeled crazy...more like "animal" or "thug."

I agree with all of your comments, but the comment that took the cake for me was Unwrappeds. You took the words right out of my mouth! And to make matters worse, they will turn around and make a movie about them! The world is crazy and the people runnin things are even crazier.

k: GIRL...You ain't NEVA LIED...that's so so true. DAG... now I'm in angre panther mode AGAIN... thanks a lot...lol.
