UPDATES!!!!

HELLO BOYS AND GIRLS!!!!! Well it's been a while at the new jizzob and I must say...things have turned out a lil better then I'd expected.

For starters, I went from a small office (having my own office) and being the only black person (in sight) to being in a large office (taking up a whole floor) and working with mostly black people (in a cube).

When I interviewed for the job, my first impression of the people wasn't good. They didn't seem very friendly at all and I thought, "great, black people with nasty attitudes - division.' I actually felt a little reluctant to deal with that aspect of things, but went on ahead anyway. For those who don't know...I'm in advertising, sales to be exact, so not only did I expect these people to be distant and mean, but VERY territorial, as expected from most sales people. I can say, that I was pleasent surprised by how nice some of the people have been thus far, with few exceptions.

The training process is very thourough, which is a wonderful thing. There have been so many artist in the office this past week (Hip-Hop)which I'm not really into, but oh well. Last Friday we had our annual Fun Day in the park with my favorite things FOOODDDDD!!! Well anyway, I've been busy as a bee and can't get online at work, but since my laptop is working now...I'll be doing some catching up on this over the weekend.

I pray things have been well with everyone...I'll see you guys and gals lata.

I did this post about a week ago, but got busy and couldn't post it. PARTIES, PARTIES AND MORE PARTIES...man, I'm TOO old for this...hahah.

Well...here's a random question for you guys:

What would a dear friend have to do for you to stop speaking to them? If this has already happened to you...then please share!

stop speaking to me... or rather continually stop speaking to me till my pride cant take it any further. I mean, it didn used to be this way. But now Im so nice and understanding and forgiving that I try to bear with things for so long! But anyway, I hate being ignored...
atleast thats th only thing I feel like saying now

It's about time you posted miss lady!! Glad to hear things are going so well...Congrats are definitely in order!

I'm not a very forgiving person...it's something I constantly work on. Betrayal is a big thing with me. If a friend betrays my trust or our relationship (there's MANY ways this could be done), I'd probably stop speaking to them.

Hey now! I've been away for a minute myself and I'm just glad to see that you're back and in good spirits. Your job is freakin awesome. How can I be down?

I know how to forgive and most times forget and I can't think of a single thing I couldn't forgive a good friend for altho forgivin does not equal we-still-on-the-same-terms. Nope!

all you got to do is consistently say inconsiderate things and give me the short end of the stick. I'll leave you alone for sure.
Actually, it doesn't take that much for me to stop talking to someone. If being around a person makes me feel just as bad as lonely, I'll cut them off.

welcome back missed lady;-)...NEVAH too old to party - dancing keeps me young...but i admit that my alcohol intake is lower - that toll is too high!

hmmm, i've stopped dealing with family AND friends who 1)are dealing w/ illegal trades 2)have not grown as people and become more insecure & petty (will not embrace negativity).

I'll speak if our paths cross otherwise - Life's too short to be bogged down based on someone's "title" or "history" in my life! For Living (well;-) I was born!

HAHAHA (on the neva too old to party)I've got 4 party/event to attend on FRIDAY AND SATURDAY... I'm TOO old for all that, but I'm going to make about 3 of them.

it's so funny, but I agree with ALL of you guys on the friend thing. It doesn't take much to work my nerves, but I'm very verbal...so I try to tell people when they're running on empty, but then I'm very forgiving.

I do think TRUE friends can overcome almost ANYTHING.

First, thanks for verifying that you aren't DEAD! I should be mad with you, but I'm praisin' God that you have a job that is fulfilling. We must catch up!

It would take a lot for me to stop talking to someone, but the first thing that popped to mind was BETRAYAL.

Glad you like your new job.. To answer your question is if they stop respecting and speaking to me, I just move on. It only happened to me once. An employee who turned out to be my good friend for almost 8 years, got mad at me, stop talking to me, because I didn't warn her of an impending lay-off that would affect her. I did try by offering her a job in my department with an 8,000 dollars difference and she acted like I was crazy. I even went as far to say you are not getting assignments, they are going to start looking at positions. But because I didn't say you will be affected, she was pissed.

never too old to party!!!!

As for your question:

This recently happened to me, and basically after 15 years she questioned my loyalty, intgrity and committment to the friendship. Not to mention the bitch type drama.

Ive been through too much in my life to have that type of negativity.

Welcome back...Can I get into some of those parties. Have fun.

I recently broke off a freindshit because we just grew apart. It used to sound crazy to me when people said that until it happened. We just did not have much to talk about anymore....never mind to try and hang out together.

I have let people go who don't add value to my life-- I want someone to life me up, encourage me, be real.... NOT tear my down and drain my energy--

If I notice you are like this... I bounce!

i think i would say betraying me in any way. once trust is gone you are bumped down to an associate, if that.

Thanks for all the reply's people...this was/is actually going to be a topic that I'm going to dive into FORREAL (as time permits)...I've already started working on the post and just got a great add-on from a friend; with that being the case, I'm not going to elaborate too much.

As far as the job goes...HECK YEAH I'M TOO OLD...lol. I've got events and parties to attend ALL WEEK (yes, even weekdays).

Anyone within the Philadelphia/NJ area who's looking to do some business with me or knows someone looking to do business can come to ALL THE PARTIES...lol.

Now...bout this friend thing...I'm with OD & Soj on this one...betrayal will get you cut off in a heart beat.
