Freedom is Golden!

Freedom: the quality or state of being free as: the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action: liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another: the quality or state of being exempt or released usually from something onerous: the quality of being frank, open, or outspoken: improper familiarity: boldness of conception or execution: unrestricted use.

I heard someone say, “The only people who’re ever REALLY free are those who’ve lost their minds.” What a statement; to think is to be trapped, and to have lost all reason to reason is liberation! As absurd as it sounds, I believe there’s a level of truth…not having to THINK about bills, health, wealth, friends, family, work, home, love or the lack of, the state of the union, or the state of DIS-union; pretty much fitting the above definition.

As life would have it, we don’t have the misfortune of that fortune, so we create our own freedom. Some people opt to let bills pile up while they live life like its golden. You’ve got those risk takers who go as the wind blows until they “find themselves.”

It’s funny how what makes me feel “free” has changed over time. When I was a child my imagination freed me from the chains of my life. Then I grew to think money would do the trick, of course it affords you change, but it never really moved me, and although, God is my lifelong guide, I’ve come to find freedom within memories. Memories of mine, or my mothers…memories of times I’ve never seen…history drives my existence and causes me to be free. From what I was, to who I am being…GOLDEN!!!

The manifestation of ME – FREE – GOLDEN… shown in how I walk (as I’ve been told) or in my hair, that’s not quite locked yet, in unrestricted, unexplained words; I’m “Living My Life Like It’s Golden!”

And now...the perfect fit!!!

Nik beat me to it. Freedom is a state of mind. It's how you deal with the external and more importantly the internal. You can be locked up in jail but free in your mind.

Girl I came back on a danggone good day! I'm all moved in in my digs and decided to roll through and check you out and this post hit the spot!

This is like an anthem for me. At the end of the day I want to be as happy as this song makes me feel! The only way to do that is allow myself room to just do me!

Living free manifests in so many ways for me...Girl please I wish every woman got this. I am truly free and living Golden!

Indeed, life is truely what you make it...things may go wrong but I've always followed the "Where there's a will there's a way" moto.

Hey Ingrid, what's been going on?
